The Tourism Authority of Thailand extends an invitation to behold the splendor of a full-dress rehearsal for the Royal Barge Procession, scheduled for Tuesday, October 22nd, commencing at 3 pm. This captivating spectacle serves as a prelude to the Royal Kathin ceremony, where His Majesty the King will bestow Kathin robes upon revered Buddhist monks at the sacred Wat Arun on October 27th. This auspicious occasion also commemorates His Majesty’s 72nd birth anniversary.

In anticipation of this grand event, the Royal Thai Navy will meticulously adorn the ceremonial barges, and the oarsmen will be attired in magnificent royal regalia, ensuring the rehearsal mirrors the grandeur of the actual procession.

A Glimpse into Tradition
The Royal Barge Procession is a breathtaking display of 52 exquisitely crafted barges, including the resplendent Suphannahong Royal Barge, the majestic Anantanakkharat Royal Barge, the Narai Song Suban King Rama IX Royal Barge, and the elegant Anekkachatphuchong Royal Barge. These vessels will glide along the Chao Phraya River in a majestic formation, spanning 1,200 meters in length and 90 meters in width, with a retinue of 2,200 personnel participating in this time-honored tradition.

- Santichaiprakarn Park: 1,500 seats

- Chalermprakiat 72nd Birthday Park: 1,100 seats
- Siriraj Hospital (Phimuk Park): 100 seats
